About Averie.
Averie Cole is a multidisciplinary artist based in Jersey City, NJ, originally from Sydney, Australia. With over 20 years of experience in photography, Averie masterfully blends her skills in photography, painting, mixed media, and interior design to create vibrant and diverse works of art.
Her recent project, “Meeting Mama,” featured intimate portraits of motherhood and was showcased at Loud Lolly’s Open House. The exhibition was enriched by a performance from Madison Perrott and music by DJ Lee Walker, highlighting Averie’s talent for capturing profound human experiences through her lens.
Averie’s passion for interior design is evident in her transformation of her rental apartment and photo studio into a colorful and inviting space. This unique blend of art and design has made her a sought-after collaborator for exhibitions and events.
In collaboration with local artist Rebecca Johnson of Moonflower, Averie created captivating portraits using Rebecca’s backdrop during Pride, celebrating the beauty and diversity of the community.
Balancing her roles as a mother, artist, photographer, and CrossFit coach, Averie brings a holistic approach to her art practice, emphasizing the importance of balance and well-being. Her dedication to her craft and community continues to inspire others.
